Heartbreaking news to report today. Cheryl Warren-Powers, the first female 1,000-point basketball scorer in Bishop Feehan High School history, died unexpectedly Tuesday, just a few days after giving birth to twins.
Cheryl transferred to Feehan after starting her athletic career at Attleboro High, and finished her high school career with 1,088 points in 75 games, graduating in 1991. She went on to Wheaton College and played basketball and softball there. She was a long-time assistant…

Alfonzo Dennard, cornerback from Nebraska and seventh-round draft pick of the Patriots, has reportedly signed a four-year contract with the team. That would mean three of the Patriots' seven picks are in the fold even before the first OTA of the year, following defensive back Tavon Wilson and receiver Jeremy Ebert.

Seventh-round draft selection Jeremy Ebert, the wide receiver from Northwestern, became the latest of the Patriots’ seven choices to sign on the dotted line when he agreed to a contract on Thursday.
