This semester, I've embarked on the most wonderful journey of my life so far. I'm taking a class on Surrealism and Rebellion. It's completely amazing. I figured, I'd share a piece of my work. I am particularly passionate about words. I love them. And it is because of my love for words that I feel strongly about them being used properly. Especially when describing things, such as a distaste for something.

Nothing bugs me more than when someone says "That's Gay" to say something is distasteful.

First off, "Gay" is not a synonym for any of the following words:
- dumb
- lame
- juvenile
- ludicrous
- ridiculous
- unpleasant
- distasteful
- boring
- inferior
- uncool
- unfair

Don't mind my totally cliche post title. It's really all I could come up with at the moment.

So for the past month or so I've found myself trudging through the relatively depressing works of Mr. Charles Bukowski. Not only have I been getting weird looks for carrying around the 3 inch thick volume of his works -- his reader, "Run with the Hunted" -- but people that know of him simply can't understand why I would read such a thing.
