I went to Washington, DC and I brought you back some chocolate from a store that you liked. I thought it was Sees candies, but I could be wrong. After all, I am 60!

The family is well. I have a 16 moth ol grandson now. And I'm so YOUNG! :)

You were talking about me? That scares me! And who is 'we'? Not that I'm paranoid. Hey, who said that?

Hi Jane! How the heck are you?
The two things that come to mind when I recall our Sun Chronicle days are:

1) Johnny Mathis
2) Chocolate (Sees, if I recall correctly)

Not necessarily in that order.

....and of course, I could always make you laugh.

Hi Jane - Read any good books lately? I've been getting about 4 books at a time at the library - it's really been too hot to do anything else!

Did you see the great article in today's paper about the little girl adopting the poor damaged cat? That girl used to live next door to us and was often here playing with the girls. Its a nice heartwarming story!

Hola Cassie and Sweetie!
Its that time of year again (tick season) so I need to break him of the habit of sleeping in my bed. I dont like doing this... HOWEVER.
He has tick repellant and I do not. Gross.
No bugs for Miguel thank you.

Meeeow! My cat Sam presented me with a mouse last night--a live mouse. Cute little devil. I rescued him/her and released it outside.

First Dog?

Hi,

We have been not doing much of lately except lounging around, eating, sleeping, terrorizing each other.

We are concerned about the economy and have worries about where our next meal might be coming from. We have been pretty much catered to, spoiled you might say, and never a thought to the ever- ready supply of blue-ribbon kibble.

It has been a little meager as of lately, and the thought of having to go into the world to forage for our own food is definitely NOT an option for us.

While c… Continue

We Liked this Cat Story!!

Hi,

Being as ego-centric as we are, we like to read about our own kind.

We want to recommend a good book entitled "Dewey: The Small-town Library Cat who Touched the World" written by Vicki Myron.

It is the story of an orange kitten who is thrown into a library book drop slot in the Town of Spencer, Iowa, Public Library one very cold January night in 1988.

The kitten is rescued by librarian Vicki Myron and her staff and spends his life as the resident of the library.

Dewey is a very l… Continue

Kitty Shower

You have heard of a wedding shower and a baby shower? Now know that the hot new trend is a "Kitty Shower". Our friend Anne recently lost her cat. to a car accident. To help assuage her grief, she visited several local animals shelters and came upon a beautiful, buff-colored kitten whi… Continue

Keep your cats inside.

Two days ago we heard that one of our friends named "Talky", a beautiful, black, long haired cat got hit by a car.

She loved being outside and had the freedom to roam and hunt to her heart's content. She was a happy cat who loved people and who in turn was loved.

The car hit and ran and "Talky" , still alive, dragged herself into the driveway and half way up the stairs when she was discovered by her owner and taken immediately to animal emergency. There was talk of an operation, but the consen… Continue

Racing for Profit

Both of us, "Cassie" and "Sweetie" looked on, while over the weekend, at the historic Kentucky Derby, the 2nd place winner "Eight Belles" broke both of her legs. She was quickly, and it is hoped, humanely euthanized. How did that happen? Did she have some hidden condition that no one was let on about?

We think that racing dogs and horses for gambling/profit or whatever you call it, should be against the law. We hear about the winners losing their lives after an accident. What untold horrors are… Continue
