A hangout's gots to have a jukebox... Nah, not really. Blackburn's, my first hangout, didn't have one. Heagney's, the one at the corner of Park and Union -- not the one next doah to the Union -- had a great one. I loved lis'ning to Georgia Gibb singin' dance with me, henry.
Best jukebox ever in Attleboro? I'll take nominations. The prize, for irony's sake, should be a base for an mp3 player, but money for prizes we no got.
And the jukebox I've installed here wouldn't be a contender. But if you want to hear what your counterman sounds like, click to my page (should be a button in the upper left corner) and scroll down until you see "Creekside Rhapsody." Don't be scared off by the 99 cent pricetag. You can hear about a one-minute clip for free, and that ought to be enough of my voice. I recommend "On Fireflies." Everybody seemed to like it (thanks, Ma).
Then again, you might want to hear a little more of:
Sheila Masterson singing "Words that Mean Welcome."
Andy Solberg on "Creekside Rhapsody"
Killer Kane and the Blue FOs on "Short Order Man" "Rowdy Side of Heaven" "Your Heart's Too Full"
Ken Lyon on "Greyhound to Glory"
Judi McKeown-Busby on "Fire at Slane" and "Postcards from the Fleadh"
Lori Lacaille on "Fashion Boy"
Ron Pen reading "A Legend of McKinley Craft."
