Former Mansfield High School standout wide receiver Brett McDermott is finally on the offensive stat sheet for the Indianapolis Colts.
In Saturday's 18-17 preseason loss to the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, McDermott caught his first pass of the preseason with 8:11 left in the fourth quarter. He caught a Curtis Painter pass for a 3-yard gain to the Detroit 2, where he was pushed out of bounds to set up third-and-1. But the Colts only got a field goal out of the possession.
McDermott was a rookie free agent signing out of Holy Cross.
