So you fancy yourself the next Tommy Dorsey but don't actually own a trombone?

There's a solution, and Spoonjack has it with its new iBone application. All you need is an Apple iPhone or iPod.

Just go online, download the app, and you can play your digital trombine by touching the notes on your iPhone or iPod's touchscreen. You're in the band!

We haven't tested the app, but based on YouTube samples we'd have to say it's pretty basic. No glissandos here. Nevertheless, how many of you trumpet players don't secretly envy the slush pump brigade.
