OK, folks, here's that juicy tidbit of news that you apparently can't live without.

According to that paragon of American journalism, People Magazine, Tom Brady's glamazon wife, übermodel Gisele Bündchen, is officially pregnant. It will be her first child (she's allegedly about three months along) and Brady's second, following 2-year-old John Edward Thomas Moynahan, his son by actress and spurned former galpal Bridget Moynahan.

The tabloids have been abuzz since La Bündchen appeared at a fashion show in her native Brazil this past week with a noticible abdominal bump, modeling loose-fitting clothes that had the look of maternity wear.

The Patriots' quarterback, of course, refuted speculation that there was a Brady Bun in the oven of his Brazilian Boo during an organized team activity a few weeks ago in Foxboro -- but he didn't sound even remotely convincing in his denial. Meeting with the media on May 28 for the first time since injuring his left knee in the 2008 season opener against Kansas City, Brady was asked by reporters how his life had been during his long absence from the field.

"I'm a very optimistic person, so I cherish those moments," he said. "There have been great things happening in my life for a long time. Certainly, this year was no different different areas of success with marriage and with children."

Alert reporters picked up on Brady's plural reference to "children," and asked him if another one (other than 2-year-old Jack) was on the way.

"No," Brady said, followed by a very pregnant pause. He dipped his head as if to collect his thoughts further, then said carefully, "No, one's enough. I've got dogs and that's all I need."

Apparently dogs aren't enough. People cites plenty of FOBs (Friends of Bündchen) as confirming the 29-year-old model's pregnancy, saying that she is excited to be having one of her own after having served as a surrogate mom to Brady's boy (by Bridget) when he has custody.

Here's a link to the People story about Gisele's pending blessed event.

We now return to the consideration of far more substantive issues facing mankind, such as Jennifer Aniston's continued pining over Brad Pitt.

Vern, let's look at a few facts:

1. You clicked on it. So you apparently care enough to want to read it. If you didn't want to read it or didn't care, as you claim, you would have ignored the post.

2. If you didn't notice, I played the whole thing for the joke that it is. How often does anyone who's "serious" about the news use the word "glamazon," anyway.

3. Thanks for responding.
