We're three hours before kickoff of the game between the 5-3 Patriots and the 5-3 Buffalo Bills, and the conversation has turned to Notre Dame football (or the lack thereof following yet another loss to Boston College) as the Providence Journal's Jim Donaldson (Notre Dame '73) is calling for Charlie Weis' head.
Special guest in the press box today? Former Springfield Union-News (now called the Republican) beat writer Carlo Imelio, who makes a trip out here each year to reconnect with his buddies on the beat. Another welcome visitor is Judy Battista of the New York Times, who feels our pain when it comes to having to glean anything unique out of a Bill Belichick press conference from her frequent visits to Foxboro.
The Sun Chronicle's representation today is me in the driver's seat, Lauren Carter riding shotgun with sidebar and notebook duties, Juliet Pennington in the back seat looking for celebrities and Keith Nordstrom hanging onto the bumper, camera in hand.
