Important Barney update

Evidently Barney -- president Bush's dog, not the purple dinosaur -- has now bitten a PR person. First a reporter and then a PR flack. I'm not sure if that's moving up the food chain or down. Anyway, I hope someone has checked Barney's rabies vaccination. We'd hate to see him get sick.

The smell of politics

The guy who just came to pump out my septic tank told me that if I planned to vote, I should expect delays. He said he had driven by a couple of polling places on his way to my house and "they were all backed up." And who would know better about backups? Yes, I had my septic tank pumped on Election Day. What's your point?
